The client, a leading service provider for geothermal, oil, and gas industries in the Philippines, required hoisting equipment capable of lifting 25 tons to a height of 60 meters, operating on a 480 VAC power supply.

(III) Communication and solution design
Since the customer submitted the inquiry on our electric chain hoist page, we designed a hoist solution for the customer according to the conventional travelling electric chain hoist, and did not know too much about the customer's specific operating conditions.
The client reviewed the initial hoist solution and gave feedback on the site drawings.
After communication, we understood the working conditions of the electric hoist. The gas generator is one of the products of the customer. When the generator is being repaired, an electric hoist is required to lift the intake bulkhead, but it is rarely used. The deadweight of the intake bulkhead is about 18 tons.
Change reqeust
The lifting height of 70m is more in line with the conditions of use. The type of chain hoist is also changed from travelling type to fixed type, and the quantity is changed to 2 sets. At the same time, two quotations of 25t and 30t are provided for customers to choose.
When the customer's technical team reviewed the plan, it was found that the diameter of the inner ring of the hook should be at least 130mm for the lifting hole on the intake bulkhead, and the standard 30t electric chain hoist hook did not meet the requirements. So, we decided to replace the hook head with a 50t one to meet the demand. The customer confirmed that he wanted two 30t electric chain hoists.
Following thorough evaluations, the client finalized the requirement for two 40-ton electric wire rope hoists with a lifting height of 70 meters. We revised the solution again to match customer needs.The hoists were manufactured adhering to ISO standards, underwent rigorous quality checks, and were delivered to the client's facility in Manila via bulk carrier, ensuring timely and safe arrival.
The next month is a long month. Because no matter how we contacted the customer, he had no news and feedback. Until the customer suddenly replied to replace the electric chain hoist with an electric wire rope hoist. Yes, electric chain hoist and electric wire rope hoist both can meet the customer's requirements. So, we have designed the electric wire rope hoist solution. After the customer team reviewed it again, the order was placed.

When designing a crane and hoist solution, it is essential to thoroughly understand the customer's specific working conditions, including their operational environment, lifting requirements, and space constraints. This understanding forms the foundation for a targeted and effective design. The solution often undergoes multiple revisions to ensure every detail aligns precisely with the customer’s usage needs and performance expectations.
