The rubber-tyred container gantry crane is suitable for handling and loading and unloading of containers. It is supported on pneumatic rubber tires and is often powered by diesel generators. It can also be powered by cable reels and lithium batteries. Its design, manufacture and inspection implement DIN, FEM, IEC, AWS, GB and other domestic and foreign standards as well as the promulgated national standards. The machine has stable performance, long life, high production efficiency, good maneuverability and low sensitivity to ground unevenness. It consists of a cart, a trolley, a gantry, a power supply system and a professional spreader. Able to go straight, horizontal, 0-90 degree turn and turn in place. With perfect safety instructions and overload protection devices, it can effectively ensure the safety of operators and equipment. The electric drive adopts the unique technology of full digital AC frequency conversion and PLC control speed regulation, with flexible control and high precision.

RTG is powered by diesel alternator, adopts digital frequency conversion speed regulation, and can move in two directions in the container yard. Equipped with a telescopic spreader that can lift 20-foot and 40-foot containers. The spreader of RTG mostly adopts fixed guide plate. In order to reduce the swing of the spreader, a mechanical anti-sway device is installed. In order to facilitate the box alignment, a small-angle slewing device of the spreader is installed, in order to be able to switch the site for operation. In general, the RTG span has been standardized to 23.47 meters (six rows plus aisle), and RTGs with non-standard spans can also be supplied. The lift height ensures that a 40-foot-long, 9'6'' container can be lifted over four (or five to six) levels of stacking.

The RTG is supported on large tubeless tires with 4, 8 or 16 wheels. The number of rounds is designed according to the requirements of the wheel pressure on the field. Cart running gear can be four-wheel or two-wheel drive. In order to prevent the collision between RTGs and between the yard bridge and the container, a manual deviation correction system and an anti-collision device at the four corners of the cart are provided.
